Studentship Networks

Enabling Supply Chain Adaptation to Climate Change and a Resource Poor Future.

The network’s aim is to look at small to medium size enterprise (SME) and assess the growing need to adapt their supply chain to meet the demands of an economy changing due to climate change. While larger enterprises are starting to change the way they operate it is perceived that SME’s are slower to react.

There is therefore a need for research that looks holistically at the obstruction to adaption throughout supply chains and to design effective strategies to overcome them. It will embrace the following themes

  • assessment of the preparedness of the supply chain to adapt to climate change

  • validating the sustainability of bio renewable replacements for petrochemical products

  • doing business under water; flooding, entrepreneurship and resilience

  • climate change policy complexity and impact on supply chains
