The Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering CIC was established In 2003 by Yorkshire Forward, as part of an £11m initiative to help businesses harness the innovation and cutting edge technical expertise of some of the world's leading research facilities. Due to the overwhelming success of this initiative, The Centre became the fully independent BITECIC Ltd in 2006.
BITECIC Ltd is now an ISO9001-accredited health technology based organisation drawing on expertise from a world-class group of business, clinical and research personnel. Our primary roles are to manage collaboration and to provide focussed professional services to industry, universities and healthcare professionals. We actively support healthcare and medical device technology organisations in the UK and internationally who are aiming to innovate and to take new concepts through to market.
